In 1977 Jamie Vermaak opened the doors to The Maintenance Man (Pty) Ltd. as the sole director. The business concentrated mainly on the manufacture of strong durable security gates and guards. As the years passed Jamie expanded the business, partnered with Jorge Ferraz and opened Furniture Creations, manufacturing designer wrought iron furniture and other steel creations. This fruitful partnership lasted 7 Years. After which Jamie continued to run and manufacture under the name of The Maintenance Man until 2006 when he passed away. In 2007, run by Jamie’s son Darryl, then later and to date by his eldest son Ashley, A & D Fabrications took over the business and began trading in March 2008. Steel is our business. Today A & D Fabrications specializes in the manufacture of good quality wrought iron products. From security gates, balustrade, furniture, curtain rods and finials to brackets (for fiberglass guttering and cladding).
