Once the location of an original settler’s farmstead, this plot overlooks an established dam that is now inhabited by wallowing hippo and frequented by scores of animals. The ruins of original structures, crumbling under the relentlessly coiling roots of mature fig trees add to the character of this landscape. The site has good access to all areas of the reserve and is flanked by verdant grassland plains. The Biggarsberg Mountains in the distance provide the Northern backdrop to fantastic sunsets over the rolling veld and dam.
