Located in the Northern part of the reserve, the site is perched on the precipice of the ravine of the Sundays River. The burnt orange and grey-streaked rock faces of the gorge create a striking contrast to the succulent bush that clings to its sides. The lodge would ideally be constructed on stilts and elevated astride the stream that cascades down the waterfall into the swirling waters below.
