Tugela Private Game Reserve (Ladysmith)
Tugela Private Game Reserve is a 6 700 hectare private bushveld game reserve situated in the heart of the historic Colenso Boer Ware Battlefields between Ladysmith and Colenso in KwaZulu-Natal. It is 3 1/2 hours' drive from Johannesburg and 2 1/2 hours from Durban and only fifteen minutes' drive from the N3 highway.

It is malaria free and its diverse terrain and vegetation enables it to hold four of the Big 5 and all endemic game species including plains game. You can enjoy daily game drives guided by expert game rangers, in open 4x4 game viewing vehicles, with sundowners and spectacular views of the Tugela River Valley. White Rhino, Elephant, Leopard, Giraffe, Zebra, Black Wildebeest, Waterbuck, Impala, Blesbuck, Grey Duiker, Warthog, Eland, Ostrich, Nyala, Bushbuck, Mountain Reedbuck, Common Reedbuck, Kudu, Red Hartebeest, Bushpig, Eland, Steenbuck, and Crocodile roam freely on this reserve of incredible diversity.
With its abundance of natural water, Tugela Private Game Reserve attracts several rare bird species and a range of raptors and vultures.
