Belvadale woods

Belvedale Woods is a unique luxury residential development in Cowies Hill. All 22 homes have been designed to maximise both outstanding sea views and resident's privacy, with the needs of each home owner closely attended to by Julie de Zeeuw. This specialist residential architect shares the Vision Homes philosophy of creating homes rather than houses, and has used sliding folding doors and spacious verandahs to blur the transition between indoors and outdoors and integrate the beautiful gardens into day to day living space. The overall layout is sensitive to the topography and ecology of the site, rather than a 'bulldoze and build' approach

Vision Homes has created an environment in which residents may live in total harmony with nature. Stone excavated on-site has been re-used to great effect in place of traditional retaining banks and in garden bed rockeries that complement the indigenous planting. Structures do not dominate but blend in and enhance the natural beauty of the estate which includes a mature one hectare indigenous forest complete with a nature trail. The resident Purple Crested Loeries and Kingfishers, in addition to the amazing variety of other species of birds, are a delight for nature enthusiasts.

Landscaping on this three and a half hectare site has been supervised by renowned horticultural expert Dr Elsa Pooley. Residential gardens are mainly indigenous but, like each home, designed around the individual needs of each family. Other features that residents enjoy include an all weather putting green, a clubhouse, and a level grassed play area of 300 m2 alongside the  swimming pool.

Security is one of Belvedale Woods' most important features. The estate is enclosed within an electrified security fence which is monitored by an armed response company. Access is by way of security gates which are manned by a guard, 24 hours a day.   Vision Homes believes that Belvedale Woods sets a benchmark against  which luxurious upmarket residential developments will be measured.
